Tips and Suggestions
Suggestions to achieve the best Announcement possible:- Use photos that are clear and crisp.
- Keep in mind the announcement you like when choosing the photos you want to use. For example, if the announcement you like has a long full body photo don't choose a close-up square photo. Choose one that will crop and fit similar measurements.
- If you want your photos in color, will the clothing/blankets in the photo clash with the color of the announcement?
- Keep in mind the length of the name on the announcement. If your child's name is super long or really short, will it look the same?
Suggestions to take the Best Photos:- Take pictures of your baby when he or she is well rested, fed and happy.
- Keep it simple! The best photos, in my opinion, are those that the baby is dressed simply. Either a plain onesie or a bare baby is always cute. Overdressing your baby takes away from their face, hands and the little details that matter.
- Use a plain dark sheet or blanket as a backdrop. A white sheet works well too. Try to avoid too many patterns.
- Set your camera on the highest quality setting possible.
- Natural light is best. Use a South facing window for light if possible.
- Take lots of photos! You can always delete the ones that don't work out.
- Try taking photos at different angles.

Before you order:Make a list of family and friends you're going to send announcements/cards to before you order, then add a few extra to the total. This will save you from having to order again and pay shipping charges twice.
